This brought back the best memories! I was a champion hula hooper - I loved it!

It was always so easy then, impossible now... Lovely photo.

I loved my hula hoop. I used it everyday and got to be the best in the neighborhood. Doubt I could do all those fancy moves now though.

Our school has a hula hoop team who always hula-hoops for the Houston Rockets each year.

Oh yes...we had fun with them.

I tried to do it again a few weeks ago and wasn't successful. :) My nieces were doing a good job with them.

Thanks for the memories.

I love those, but I was terrible at it! Great shot, and thanks for sharing. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I imagine my dad took that picture with his Brownie camera. A lucky shot!

The same thing happened to me! I tried hula-hooping several years ago and just couldn't do it, but as a kid, it was so easy.

Yes! Well, not anymore but I used to be able to do that quite well. Thanks for the memory!

What a lovely photo. Hula hoops are still great toys. We have loads at the school where I work.

Sounds like fun! I hope you'll post photos of the hula hoop team's performances.

Same here. I guess my body just doesn't move the way it used to!

We used these all the time growing up! My sister could do it for a long time! I've heard that they are good for weight los, so am thinking of getting one! LOL!

I need to go through my parents old photo albums looking for old treasures like this.

I recently unearthed an old scrapbook that I thought I'd thrown away. What a delightful surprise! Now I've got a huge task - scanning all those photos and mementos.

LOL! Yup! but I could NEVER make them get going round the hips, so I used them like the rolling hoops/sticks toys!

ha ha - great memories! I liked hula hoops, though I was never very good with them!

Enjoy the weekend -

I have never, in my entire life, been able to hula hoop! And, believe me, it wasn't for lack of trying!
