View from our table at the restaurant. |
We walked a little ways along Harborview Drive and were rewarded with a view of Mount Rainier, peeking over the trees on the horizon. |
Since Nan and I share a fabric addiction, we stopped at this delightful quilt shop. Beautiful fabrics. |
Then back across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge headed for home (with views of Mount Rainier along the way) |

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
DeleteThe photos remind me of the area around Bar Harbour in Maine. I too could do some serious damage to my bank balance in the fabric store.

Since I already have several projects underway, I managed to leave the store without buying any fabric. How's that for self-control?
DeleteLovely! If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be near water! and quilt stores!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteSame here! But although we live within driving distance of Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean, we don't visit often enough. My goal is to change that in coming months.
DeleteI wish I would spend more time on lakes and rivers and beaches! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you. We had a great time.
DeleteGig Harbor is such a fun town. I need to drive across the bridge and visit it soon. Here is my snapshot of the week
ReplyDeleteIt's such a charming place and easy to get to from my house. I'll go there again soon.
DeleteOh, I am green with envy at your beautiful surroundings, both in these photos and others you have shared. I am longing to jump in the car and drive!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
"Get your motor running. Head out on the highway." -- Do it!
DeleteWonderful photos, I like to catch this beautiful place, beautiful tour!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my post.
DeleteThat view and deck railing look so familiar! Your photos are wonderful reminders of a nifty little. Gig Harbor is one of my favorite places.
ReplyDeleteIt's really close to you. Maybe you'll venture over there while the weather is so nice.
DeleteOh, I know that bridge well! We have to go over it whenever we go up to visit my in-laws!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a memorable bridge, especially if you know the history of "Galloping Gertie" (which this bridge replaced). I'll let you do your own research if you want because I don't want to scare you.
DeleteWhat a wonderful day out! I would have enjoyed the quilt shop!
ReplyDeleteThey had a great selection of gorgeous, high-quality fabrics, as well as a computerized long-arm quilter that they demonstrated. It was a nice shop.
DeleteAs always you give us great pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, Lindsay.
DeleteLooks beautiful...love that the water is so blue:)
ReplyDeleteWow, you live in a very beautiful part of the world. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photo's.
