Ferries & Flurries - #SaturdaySnapshots

When the Auburn Senior Activity Center took the ferry to Vashon Island for a hike, we expected a few snowflakes mixed in with light rain. We got more than that! (Click on photos to enlarge.)

Since everyone dressed for cold and wet weather, we were comfortable and dry. The snow made our surroundings even more beautiful.

Following our hike with a hot lunch in the town of Vashon made for a fun day. Luckily, the snow didn't stick to the roadways on the drive back home.

  3. I used to go skiing with my family every Christmas. Nowadays I'm content to walk in the snow or enjoy its beauty from a warm place indoors.
Thanks for commenting on my post, Vicki.

  6. I haven't ever hiked in the snow- my sister is returning from University on the East Coast and telling me how hard it is, but I'm determined to try it some day!

  7. Poem Fanatic: Although quite a bit of snow came down, it didn't stick; so walking in it wasn't difficult. It was like walking in soft rain! So beautiful.
