Auburn Market - Saturday Snapshots

Every Sunday during the summer, my little town of Auburn, Washington, hosts a farmers' market. It's a small set-up--only a couple dozen vendors--but my husband and I have bought some good produce, beautiful flowers, and delicious balsamic vinegar there. Here are a few photos I took in August. (Click on photos to enlarge.)

The market is set up at the commuter train terminal.
I thought it was strange that the band's name was "Trainwreck."

  1. Oh nice market! I love markets and when in Europe see some great stalls. We don't do it as well here as a rule.

    1. Seattle's Pike Place Market compares to the amazing markets I've seen in Europe. But our little market in Auburn definitely does not compare. Still, it's fun.

  2. I'm glad Texas has a state holiday! AND... I grew up in Washington (by the way, your statehood day is November 11th. I looked it up. LOL ) I have a sister in law who lives in Auburn. I'm going to have to do to the market next time I visit her!

    1. I like to go to the Auburn market just to support our local farmers and artisans. There's also a market in nearby Kent. It's on Saturdays.

  4. You photos are so vivid, Sandra. The fruits and veggies look delicious. Isn't this a beautiful time of year? I am trying to include more vegetables in our diet. My daughter loves greens, so the other night I made a soup and tossed in a few leaves. She loved it.

I love going to our historic Farmer's market here in Houston. It's nothing like fresh vegetables pulled right off the shelves/bushels and the pickings are plenty.

    Have fun!
