"Juneuary"

Sometimes in the Pacific Northwest, we have a month called "Juneuary." That's when summer starts but the weather remains cool and rainy. However, when we have sunbreaks, it's a great time to take a few photos.

A bunny decided to sunbathe in my front yard! I was afraid he might be injured, but when I walked onto the porch, he hopped away.

The hummingbirds are hungry! It's unusual to see two at the feeder at the same time. I love the green iridescence of these two.

This little guy glowed!

Wildflowers are blooming along a nearby hiking trail. These daisies brightened my day.

Mock orange created a delicious scent.

Foxgloves added a splash of color.

  8. Fun at the feeders. It's weird. We don't have a bunny in our yard this summer.

  11. Our June has been quite Juneuary too with cold windy Atlantic days. I hope things warm up tomorrow and for the whole of July. For both of us.

  12. As always, your posts gave me a real lift. This is my kind of weather. My brother and i used to call foxgloves wolf mittens. And mock orange fills the air with fragrance. As for bunnies, to make a un, our neighborhood a-bounds with them. Thanks, Sandy. Keep the pictures coming!

  18. Oh how beautiful! I am from New England and have lived here most of my life except for 2 years when I lived in the Pacific Northwest. I loved it there but missed New England too much to stay.

  20. The cold weather has been making me crazy with trying to run a farm when it's too cold for anything to germinate.

  21. Not sure if you have this comment already , to 'approve', because we use different systems, Sandra :) :) Looking dry and brown here in the height of summer, but there's plenty of colour in the flowers. Thanks for sharing! Have a great summer!

  24. Oh so pretty in your yard. We had a couple of hot-ish days here in Eugene, but it’s mostly been some kind of April/May weather... even still so far this month. (It seems really chilly to us coming home from Florida, but real locals are wearing shorts and tees!)

  25. Lovely photos, it almost looks very English there, other than the hummingbirds of course. We have foxgloves in our garden, they keep flowering for months and add some great color to the garden.
