Sidewalks and Tile - #Portugal

Portugal (especially Lisbon) is famous for its tiles and decorative sidewalks.






Tiles with historical themes cover the walls of the Sao Bento train station in Porto


Even the most mundane buildings are covered in tiles. Some of them remind me of quilts.



Tile murals depict scenes from the Bible inside the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon

    Brings back memories to me ! my son's godmother lives in Portugal but in the South (Algarve) but the tiles are beautiful everywhere !

    Impressive collection of images! It sure gives an apartment building character and what a fun to take a walk seeing the beautiful tiles and the train station. I think I would miss my train.
