BLUEBONNETS FOR ELLY takes place in

Elly and Derek took a road like this to go on a picnic.

And of course, there are fields of bluebonnets -
Texas's state flower.

    1. Probably not. Lupinus texensis is native to Texas (and a few surrounding states). Somehow I don't think they'd thrive in the UK's climate!

  4. What fun to see photos of the places in your book! I love the close-up of the bluebonnet. Did you know that blue bonnets are also a Scots cap?

    1. Me, too. Since I no longer live in Texas, I miss the rolling hills covered in blue. But I do get to go back and visit every once in a while!

  11. I grew up in the country outside of Pittsburgh. These pictures held a little bit of nostalgia for me, especially that dirt road. I really want to read this book.

  16. Is it weird that I like the building and road more than flowers?

    1. I agree with you! When I look at the picture of the road, I wonder where it leads. I like the building because it's obviously old, plus I like the water tower in the background. Yes, the flowers are nice but they're not unusual. So, if that's weird, I am too!
