More Cinque Terre - Saturday Snapshots

I had so much fun posting photos last week from our 2001 Cinque Terre trip that I decided to feature more for today's Saturday Snapshot post! These were taken with a film camera and they're not as sharp as you'd get with a digital, or maybe we just had a hazy day. I kind of like the soft look.

Monterossa al Mare

The Cinque Terre is known for its lemons
and its limoncello (or limoncino) liqueur.

Vernazza harbor

The best way to get around the Cinque Terre is
via water taxi. This one is in the Vernazza harbor.

"Departures for the Cinque Terre"
There's train service between the five towns,
but figuring out the schedule was a challenge for us!

    1. Me too! I'd never tried it before we went to the Cinque Terre. Discovering local cuisine is part of the fun of traveling for me.

  2. Love the lemon shot. It's always nice to see photos shot with film, I think it made us take better shots,

    1. You're right. We definitely stopped and planned before taking film photos. But I'll admit I like being able to take ten shots of the same subject without considering the cost of developing them.

  4. Cinque Terre is most definitely on my bucket list :) Thanks for the pics. Have you read the short story "Vampires in the Lemon Grove" by Karen Russell? Your mention of lemons in this post brought that story to mind because the vampires suck lemons instead of blood and it's set in Sorrento.

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed my photos. No, I haven't read that book but I'll look for it. It sounds like a clever twist on the vampire legends.
